Being a Covid bride and having to move our wedding from Malaysia to Sacramento was definitely not something we were expecting. When we decided to plan our Hindu ceremony in Sacramento with about four months to plan, we were scared we wouldn’t find a photographer that fit our style and budget. We were so lucky to have encountered Tina on Facebook and she made the day as easy as could be. Tina was so professional and wanted to make sure that she was respectful to the culture, which was very much appreciated. She also did her homework, which was very admirable. On top of all this, the photos were phenomenal. I hope to continue booking Tina for our future life events. We absolutely LOVE Tina, she's done maternity, mini sessions, and newborn sessions for us and I wouldn't go to anyone else in the Sacramento area for my photography needs. I don't know how best to describe her editing style, all I know is I love it, it seems to always match the location and or type of photo sessions. She's great with kids and super fun to chat with! Thank you Tina for the beautiful pictures of my daughter and myself. We took these to surprise my husband for Father’s Day. The venue and lighting was perfect and you knew just what to say to coax the genuine smile from my daughter. We honestly couldn’t decide which pictures to present to my husband and when we did decide. we couldn’t wait for Father’s Day so he got them early. My daughter graduates from 8 grade next year and we’ve already booked a session with Tina to celebrate the milestone with her friends.

Tina provides a stress free photo session. Our family grouping involved many adults and little ones. I felt Tina had it all under control. The pictures turned out great. Her flexibility and professionalism are wonderful!!

Tina came to our ranch to do my sons 1 year old photos and there so way too many to even pick the cutest! We did a few different settings and they are all so cute!! Very patient with my son and focused on getting the perfect shot of him!! Can’t wait to have her do my daughters!

I have used Tina for newborn photos and now a year later, for a family mini-session. She clearly had lots of experience with newborns and the setting was very relaxed. LOVED the photos. Our family session was great too as she made the most out of our 20 minutes, got lots of great shots, and handled a 1 year old and 2 fur babies while remaining super calm and relaxed. She wasn’t shy about directing us on what to do in order to get a good shot, which is much appreciated! I will definitely be using her again.

Tina is awesome! I love how my family/maternity photos turned out. The lighting and the spots she chose to shoot were beautiful. I also really appreciated the patience and care she took with my four year old son. He was definitely not having it at some point, but Tina somehow captured some beautiful shots of him in all his grumpy glory and even some sweet moments where he had a brief window of smiling cooperation lol. My family and I felt at ease and comfortable with Tina, and I think it shows in the photographs.

Tina is great! So glad we had her do our maternity shoot! My wife was very happy! Tina is professional and passionate about her craft. Very detail oriented and knowledgeable about lighting, colors, and everything that makes "the shot" look amazing. She also provided various props custom-made or bought for the occasion (like I said, detail oriented). She is all about her clients. I know very little about photography, so I trusted her guidance and couldn't be happier. She is patient and is good at directing you what to do so it's easy to follow. She made it a fun and pleasant experience, even though I wasn't eager to be in front of a camera. Thank you Tina!!!

My husband and I eloped November 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and Tina was truly heaven sent. She is so sweet, thoughtful, extremely reliable, thorough, and wonderfully talented. I have an anxious mind and although I had a general idea of what I envisioned, execution was difficult for me. Tina helped us make it happen. She has a plethora of knowledge and ideas and I would have been lost without her. On top of that, we had a vision of having our marriage by the coast but unfortunately lost our original location due to the California fires caused by the lightning storm. But not to worry!! Tina came to our rescue with a handful of suggestions. She was outstanding, going above and beyond our expectations. She was not only our photographer, but our support and our friend throughout the entire journey. The photos turned out so incredibly beautiful. I wanted organic and authentic and she really captured the essence of our love and our personalities. 10/10 recommend. She’s the best!

Tina took my large 8 mo old dog’s photos. My dog was not holding still & I didn’t think I would have any cute photos.

We are getting married next year and called booked Tina for some engagement photos... she completely exceeded our expectations! My fiance, being the GUY that is he, didn't totally understand why we would ever need MULTIPLE photos, because 1 image should be enough for a save the date and what not, right? But as the female that I am I wanted a few images to be able to have a handful of nice photos of the two of us, to JUST HAVE... because who doesn't want gorgeous photos of you and someone you love?! C'mon. After some convincing he agreed to do an hour long shoot with 2 outfit changes, and once we got our gallery back from Tina, HE was the one who got emotional over seeing the beautiful images she captured! On top of that, we encountered a couple setbacks the day of the shoot and were considering rescheduling all together, but being the flexible and quick-thinking professional that she is Tina basically saved the day and turned a stressful start to a very happy outcome! Tina you are awesome and very talented. Thank you so much for capturing moments that we get to share forever!

I have done two photo shoots now with Tina and she is beyond amazing at what she does!! She is very knowledgeable and always captures the best shots!! She always notices all the little details and I love that! I am so in love with all the photos she captured along with the fact that she captured all the amazing memories that I will now never forget!! "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways." Firstly (and lastly), DO NOT SLEEP ON BOOKING WITH TINA! I was originally drawn to her after seeing the work she did for a mutual friend's elopement. A lot went into deciding to hire her, but I truly believe it was serendipitous. Given that we didn't even have a planner for our small backyard wedding (amid a global pandemic, at that), Tina went above and beyond in her advice, suggestions, and thought-provoking questions. She was intuitive, kind, attentive, and patient throughout the entire process leading up to our day. It really felt like we'd hired someone we want to be friends with in real life. From timeline work and onsite tips to a personalized celebration box and Facetime calls, simply put, this woman is a boss and she is just incredible. As for the photos she took... Well, while we thought our backyard generally looked pretty (or, at least, pretty-adjacent), she somehow made it look like magic. We've been receiving so many comments of disbelief that the "venue" in our images was our work-in-progress/fixer-upper backyard! So, seriously, hire Tina. You're going to freakin' love her!

What can I say? Tina is absolutely amazing. She has done family pictures for us twice and just did a friends photo shoot for my daughter and some of her friends. Tina has a great eye for capturing the personality of each of her subjects (even my dogs!). Her photos are stunning, to say the least. The lighting, angles, and poses are exactly what I envision when I think of photos I want to look at hanging on my wall. I look forward to many more years of memorable photos. Tina Swain has such an amazing eye and talent for capturing historical moments. She 100% nailed my dad’s 90th birthday photo shoot and was able to capture wonderful photos of historical landmarks in Roseville that were an impact to my father’s life. My family will cherish these awesome photos forever. Tina was very patient with my dad as it took my dad a little longer to get in and out of the car as we traveled around town for the photo shoot. Her eye for capturing the photos at the right time with the perfect sunlight made the pictures come out perfect! She had great suggestions of how to capture those special moments with the props I wanted in the pics.

Tina has been photographing my family for years. We are not an easy bunch to work with! She never loses patience and is always positive! She has no problem chasing around my rambunctious toddler or getting my "too cool" teenagers to smile and pose. She is always helpful and accommodating for scheduling and locations.
